Registration: What is broadband?
Broadband is at least 10 times faster than dialup, meaning that you can download web pages, files, and email a lot quicker, than on a standard dialup connection. Due to the nature of broadband - you are also allowed to use the phone, and surf at the same time - so you will have no more busy tones whilst you are connected to the internet.
Broadband is also an always on connection, meaning you can leave broadband connected to the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if you wanted. You will need to have a BT landline in order to use this service
